ROMAN AND ARABIC NUMERAL CONVERTER

Roman numerals are a system of numbers used in ancient Rome and in some other modern languages.

The roman numerals are a numeral system derived from the ancient Etruscan and Roman alphabets. It is sometimes called the Latin alphabet because it has only 23 letters, unlike the English alphabet which has 26.

The system is based on seven symbols or glyphs: I, V, X, L, C, D and M. Each symbol stands for a different number: 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 500, and 1000 respectively.
