As the world becomes more and more polluted, many countries are looking for ways to reduce emissions without hurting people or the environment.

One of the best ways to do this is by using clean energy sources. Renewable energy is still very expensive but the cost will eventually come down with time. However, until then, there are ways to make clean energy cheaper without polluting too much. For example, installing solar panels on your roof can help offset your electricity bills and make you feel good about contributing to a cleaner environment.

What are CO2 Emissions and How are They Affecting the Environment?

CO2 emissions are a major contributor to global warming and climate change.

CO2 emissions come from the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas. Other sources of CO2 emissions include transportation and manufacturing activities.

Greenhouse gases trap heat inside our atmosphere and contribute to climate change. Greenhouses gases also form a layer in our atmosphere that prevents heat from escaping into space, thereby warming the Earth's surface instead.

What is Carbon Capture and Storage?

The main objective of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology is to reduce or remove carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases from the atmosphere in order to mitigate the impact of global warming.

Carbon capture and storage is a process for capturing CO2 emitted from human activities such as power generation, industry, and transportation. It can also be used to complement other climate mitigation strategies such as reforestation.

The process typically takes place in a large stationary plant that has been specifically designed for it. The CO2 emissions are compressed to a liquid called a carbon dioxide solution or "carbo-sorbent." The CO2 solution goes through a series of chemical processes where it reacts with water forming various chemicals, including methane gas, methanol, formic acid.
